Corinne and Jean Pierre Grossot, a young couple in their early 40s, are the third generation of winemakers at their family domaine which began in 1910. The Grossots cultivate 18 hectares of Chablis vineyards, centered in the village of Fleys, just east of the town of Chablis on the road to Tonnerre. The majority of their production is Villages Chablis but they do have nice holdings in four top Premier Crus: Mont de Millieu, Vacoupin, Fourchaume and Les Fourneaux.
The domaine's wines reflect the unique mineral quality of the Kimmeridgian soil, and the lively fruit acidity and bouquet is in perfect balance. The grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed in a horizontal press to ensure the fullest extraction of flavors and aromas. A mix of stainless streel and old oak can be found in the winery. Grossot's commitment to making high quality Chablis wines have brought him international acclaim.
In addition to strong reviews by Burghound and Tanzer, you will also find their wines extensively and positively reviewed by the French Wine Press.
