The wines of Domaine Fernand and Laurent Pillot have always delivered plenty of bang for your buck. The whites in particular are delicious with ample extract and plenty of acidity. And they are always very well priced.
Tim Atkin MW is one of the first to publish reviews for 2011 White Burgundy and we are delighted to see the Pillot wines do very well.
Of particular note was the 2011 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Grandes-Ruchottes which he scored 95 Points - a seriously high number for a Premier Cru.
The wine ranked equal with such big names as Coche-Dury Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres, Georges Roumier Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatieres and Etienne Sauzet Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatieres. Guess which wine is the cheapest?
It is their best wine most years so it comes as no surprise to me.
Our 2011 offer again includes 7 whites, 6 of which are Premier Cru, and 3 Premier Cru Reds from Pommard. You can view them all here. At this point in time we have sold over 50% of our order, so if you wish to purchase the 2011 Pillot wines, especially the 95 Point Grandes Ruchottes please don't delay.
Our Pre Arrival Prices are all under $100.00 a bottle, with the majority substantially less.

Normally $109.00 a bottle
Pre Arrival Price $93.00
The most complex white in their range. This is a serious vineyard! Just 0.37 ha of 40 year old vines in the middle of the appellation. The wine is fermented in 50% new oak.
Tim Atkin MW: All the wines from this Chassagne-based domaine are impressive in 2011, but this is the pick of the bunch: stylish, modern white Burgundy of a very high order. Forward. Rich and smoky, with creamy, lees-derived richness and superb definition. 95 Points
