Despite what you might think I am (probably) not crazy...
Every now and then something comes along that makes you think out of the box. Whilst we primarily import Burgundy I am not adverse to considering wines from other areas if I feel they offer particular value.
Chateau Ballan-Larquette lies in the little village of St Laurent du Bois in Bordeaux. The area has been a cradle for vineyards since the middle ages and is dotted with ancient churches and Knight's Templar Commanderies.
It is is owned by the Chaigne family - who have been wine makers for six generations. Regis Chaigne heads the current generation and is passionate about producing award winning, classic, time honoured wines with the elegant precision that modern wine making techniques bring with them.
We offer a dry white from 2012 and a red from 2010, both outstanding vintages. They are seriously good wines for the price which is why we have imported them.
We have two Pre Arrival Prices for your consideration. If you buy by the bottle the Pre Arrival Price of $19.95 represents the usual 15% saving. If you buy by the unbroken (ie non-mixed) case of 12 bottles there is a 25% saving making the price just $17.63 a bottle. That is great value!
