Chartron 2011 Header

"Jean-Michel Chartron has been on a hot streak for several years now and one day the wine world is going to wake up to the superb quality of these wines and they are going to become
much more difficult to source."

John Gilman, A View from the Cellar Issue 42 on the 2011 Vintage

Established in 1859 by the cooper-craftsman Jean-Edouard Dupard, Domaine Jean Chartron has been managed by five generations concerned with both the expansion and prosperity of the prestigious vineyards and the management of the rural district.

Chartron Batard Label Over the decades the Domaine has built up a prestigious array of the very best Cote de Beaune vineyards centred around Puligny-Montrachet. The holdings include some very interesting Monopoles producing some stunningly good wines.

John Gilman is the first to publish reviews of the wines and they are excellent. The quote above is from his 2011 accessment. If you would like to read more about what he thought of Domaine Jean Chartron in 2011 click here for a PDF.
