Domaine Jean Chartron is one of our best sellers. The last decade has seen this domaine rise to the upper echelon. The domaine produces an unparalleled range of White Burgundy from Bourgogne to Montrachet.
To assist everyone from vigneron to importer to wine lover the domaine offers each vintage En Primeur. En Primeur refers to purchasing the wine whilst still in barrel. This sales method is very popular for Bordeaux but is not frequently seen in Burgundy where quantities are much smaller. Realistically it is not much different to buying Pre Arrival except that the delivery time is typically longer than usual.
However, the advantages are threefold.
- The wines are offered at a discounted price by the domaine and the savings are passed on to the end buyer
- Your cost is locked and is not subject to changes in the exchange rate
- Wine lovers get to choose exactly what they wish to purchase
We are delighted to offer the 2019 vintage En Primeur. This year Jean-Michael has made 10 wines available En Primeur. These include his most popular cuvees.
The discount ex domaine for En Primeur is 15%. Our usual Pre Arrival Discount applies on top of this discounted price. This makes the wines most attractive with a cumulative discount of around 27.5% off the landed price. The wines are scheduled to be bottled in March 2021 and delivery will be as soon as possible after that.
