Arriving this December
Domaine Felettig began in 1965 when Henri Felettig's parents gave him 2 hectares of vines and 1 hectare of cassis (blackcurrants). In 1992 Henri and his wife Reine purchased additional vineyards bringing the total of their land to 9.72 hectares. More vineyards were purchased in 1995 including Vosne-Romanée Village, a Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru, and a Gevrey-Chambertin "La Justice". The year 2001 saw the addition of a vineyard in Nuits St. Georges which meant their vineyards now spread from Gevrey-Chambertin to Vosne-Romanée, plus Hautes Côtes des Nuits and Beaune; a total of 10 hectares in the most prestigious appellations.

These 10 hectares are made up of a crazy 100 parcels of vines!

The domaine is receiving a lot of attention from the media and Gilbert is frequently described as a winemaker "to watch". Burghound has said "The quality at this domaine has skyrocketed over the past few vintages" and that is certainly true. Each year the wines get better and better and if you have not jumped on the Felettig bandwagon now would be a good time.

Today we feature the Vosne-Romanee 2017 but we do have some other cuvees available from the domaine. To see the range on our website click here.

We also have a couple of 2017 Tasting Packs including all 7 individual Felettig Chambolle-Musigny Premier Crus available. You can download the offer here and detailed tasting notes here.

Felettig Vosne Label
Jasper Morris MW:
Mostly from Jachees (80%) and Chalandins (20%). Rich purple, a dense concentrated backward nose, in the mouth this gets really interesting thanks to noble tannins and a really impressive intensity through the middle, and very good length for the vintage Tasted: November 2018.
Bourgogne Aujourd'hui: This Vosne-Romanée, with its exquisite delicacy and delicate complexity, is a fine execution of this appellation. On the nose and palate alike, red and dark fruits offer themselves in combination with elegant oaky notes. Velvet and pleasure flatter the palate all the way to the very long finish. Lovers of great Burgundy wines will be won over by this cuvée! 17.5/20

Jerome Castagnier Puligny-Montrachet 2015
12 bottles available
Darren Harris: A complex nose of quince, peach, pear, chalk, white pepper and flowers. The palate is expansive with lots of flavour finishing with a salty lime acidity. Quite a powerful and complex Villages Puligny and yet another white that reinforces the fact that Jerome Castagnier is also a seriously good white maker.

Domaine Gilbert et Christine Felettig Nuits-St-Georges 2015
"Just an outstanding village cru from Felettig" Neal Martin
19 bottles available

From the vineyards Les Chaliots and Aux Lavieres.

Wine Advocate - Neal Martin:
The 2015 Nuits-Saint-Georges Village was cropped at just 25 hectoliters per hectare and saw 50% new oak (not that you could really tell). It had just a touch of reduction, although there appeared to be sufficient blackberry and bilberry fruit underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannin that fortunately do not detract from the delineation or precision, whilst I particular enjoy the sorbet-like freshness and delicacy demonstrated by the finish, thanks to the fineness of the tannin. Just an outstanding village cru from Felettig. 90-92 Points
