SELLING FAST!

Grand Cru Corton Reds from the Great Years of 1999 and 2002 direct from the Cellars of Louis Latour at absolutely incredible prices!

Aged Grand Cru Reds for under $100? That is incredible!

Recently we were offered a parcel of Corton Reds made by Louis Latour. The provenance of the wines is brilliant - they are direct from the cellars of Louis Latour and have not seen daylight since they were bottled around a decade ago!

We snapped up the 1999 and 2002 Cortons as these are unquestionably two of the great vintages of the last twenty years.

The most exciting part is the price. With Burgundy always on the rise these wines represent absolutely incredible value. We offer all three wines at under $100 a bottle. That is brilliant value for impeccably cellared Grand Crus.

Jump in and grab these whilst they last! We have even made the Pre Arrival discounts a little larger than normal.

Corton Domaine Louis Latour 1999

Normal Price $109.95

Pre Arrival Price $89.95

Domaine Latour Corton Label 1999 We all know what a great vintage 1999 is. This wine is a blend from Clos du Roi, Les Bressandes, Les Greves and Les Perrieres - a roll call of the best sites in Corton.

Tasting note: This bright, attractive cherry/ruby red coloured wine has perfumed aromas of red berries, strawberries and red fruit coulis. Medium to full bodied, the palate offers complex plump, fleshy red fruits with subtle vanilla oak flavours, balanced by supple, round tannins. A well structured and harmonious wine.

Can you believe a cellar fresh 1999 Grand Cru for just $89.95! Put a case in the cellar!

Corton Domaine Louis Latour 2002

Normal Price $109.95

Pre Arrival Price $89.95

Domaine Latour Corton 2002 Label Another top year. Same blend as the 1999. 2002 is usually a little more supple than 1999 and this wine should be entering a lovely drinking phase (although coming from cold Burgundy cellars might be a little more backward than we might normally expect in Australia). Only 6 cases left.

Corton Clos de la Vigne au Saint 2002

Normal Price $125.00

Pre Arrival Price $99.95

Latour Vigne au Saint Label A small Grand Cru vineyard with just two owners - one being Louis Latour. This parcel has perfect southerly exposure on the hill of Corton and lies on a bedrock outcrop towards the bottom of the slope. The soil is a rusty red colour, rich in marl which gives the wines such distinct aromas. This wine is concentrated, rich and expressive in its abundant aromatics. It is mineral-driven, more elegant than powerful and will age particularly well. Just over 2 cases left!

Ogier Choregies Bottle
Half Price Ogier Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Choregies 2009
Normally $135.00
Half Price! $67.50

Our last shipment from Ogier erroneously included the 2009 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Choregies instead of the 2010.

So we have agreed to offer the excess wine at a remarkable price - 50% off.

The prestige cuvee is typically a blend of 60% Grenache, 35% Syrah and 5% Mouvedre from 60 year old vines. Vinification is much the same as for the regular cuvee except that the wine is left longer on skins. It is aged for 14 months, 80% in demi-muids and 20% in partly new 300 litre barrels before assemblage and bottling unfiltered.

The Rhone Report: Better than the straight cuvee and a smoking good Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the limited production 2009 Les Choregies possesses a stunningly traditional bouquet of garrigue, crushed stone, licorice, and spice, a fullbodied, concentrated mid-palate, beautiful freshness and purity, and a classic, long and structured finish. Impressive and this classic red should be given 4-6 years of bottle age, and then consumed over the following decade or longer. 93 Points
