Dampt Premier and Grand Cru Chablis 2016. Save 30%! Perfect for Summer

Dampt Chablis 2016 Australia Day Header
Just the drop for summer!
Summer has arrived and what could be better drinking than some fresh Chablis?

We have small stocks left of the recently arrived 2016s from Vignobles Dampt so we thought we'd offer the remaining stock at a great 30% discount.

Dampt make classic Chablis without the use of new oak. The wines come in heavy bottles and the Grand Crus have wax capsules.

So if you fancy some top Chablis for the months ahead act quickly. Quantities remaining are very low.

That makes these wines incredible buying. Where else can you find Premier Cru Chablis for as little as $41.65 a bottle or Grand Crus from $73.85?

We have 4 Premier Crus and 1 Grand Crus still available.

Bosquet des Papes 1989
Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape 1989
and 1990
Great vintages!

I'm always on the lookout for interesting parcels of aged wines in France.
Late Wednesday I was offered a small group of Bosquet des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape from the legendary 1989 and 1990 vintages. The bottles are in superb condition so I snapped them up (click on the image of the 1989's above to enlarge).

Robert Parker rates the vintages 94 for the 1989 and 95 for the 1990. They are in his top 10 vintages of the last 40 years. The Wine Spectator has the vintages even higher at 96 and 95 respectively.
Bosquet des Papes has been in the Boiron family since 1860. Over the years the estate has expanded and is now 27 hectares spread over 40 plots across the appellation. Their Chateauneuf-du-Pape contains approximately 75% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 3% Counoise, Vaccarese and Cinsault. The vines are around 60 years of age.
So if you fancy a little aged Chateauneuf from super vintages you'd have to be crazy not to snap some of these up. I anticipate that they will be drinking brilliantly.
We have tiny quantities of the 1989 at $165.00 a bottle and the 1990 at $185.00 a bottle
