Seguin-Manuel 2016 Pre Arrival Offer

The latest releases from this popular producer...
Seguin-Manuel was founded in 1824 as a negociant business in Savigny-le-Beaune. In 2004 the business was purchased by Thibaut Marion who then moved the business to Beaune, into old cellars originally owned by Albert Bichot.

Thibaut set about expanding the domaine's vineyards with plots in Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault and Vosne-Romanée added. More than 8 hectares of vineyard are now owned by Seguin-Manuel.

The domaine produces a fine array of cuvees from Bourgogne up to Grand Cru.

Today, we present the 2016's at a 25% Pre Arrival Discount instead of the usual 15%.

Seguin-Manuel Corton Rognet Grand Cru 2016
Landed Price $380.50
Pre Arrival Price $285.50

Seguin-Manuel Corton Rognets 2016
Darren Harris: 45 year old vines. 100% destemmed. One cask produced. New oak to start then into an older barrel. Deep red-garnet. Glorious nose of cherry, graphite, mocha, earth and stone. The nuances trade places as the wine sits in the glass. With air we see more spice. The fresh juice that is a hallmark of 2016 is present and very appealing. The palate is beautifully formed with with a suave level of extract coating the mouth and fine grained tannins leading to long and complex finish without dryness. A great combination of new and old Corton winemaking that could not fail to impress. Easily the equal of serious Grand Crus from the Cote de Nuits in both style and quality. A simply super 2016 and highly recommended.
Seguin-Manuel Vosne-Romanee Aux Communes 2016
Landed Price $158.95
Pre Arrival Price $118.95

Seguin-manuel_vosne_label Wine Enthusiast - Roger Voss: This wine has density and richness. With ripe berry fruits and generous tannins, it strikes a chord between fruitiness and richness. It is structured as well, allowing room for aging. Drink this wine from 202291 Points

Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2016
Landed Price $499.95
Pre Arrival Price $374.95

seguin-manuel charmes-chambertin label Wine Advocate - Neal Martin:
The debut 2016 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a lifted cranberry, raspberry and wild strawberry-scented bouquet that conveys plenty of volume and vigor. It might not be the most sophisticated Charmes-Chambertin but it feels generous and pure. The palate is medium-bodied with plenty of vibrant red berry fruit, structured and maybe more masculine that its peers, though there is a lovely tingle of spice that lingers on the aftertaste that keeps you coming back. Very fine.

Darren Harris:
The first vintage of this wine. 100% destemmed. 50% new oak. Noise of red fruits, spice and fresh earth. The balance is excellent with the new oak well integrated. Delicious and well worth considering.
Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Cazetiers 2016
Landed Price $254.95
Pre Arrival Price $191.50

Seguin-Manuel Cazetiers Label
Darren Harris: Classic cool, restrained nose - acid driven. A lot of finesse, the palate with medium weight fruit and fine, long tannins creating in a fine wine of considerable style.  Beautifully structured - a super example from this high quality Premier Cru.

Givry 1er Cru Cremillons 2016
Landed Price $73.95
Pre Arrival Price $55.50

seguin-manuel Cremillons label Darren Harris: Thibault suggested I try this wine as Givry is not a wine we frequently import. What a revelation! Lovely colour. Dark fruits with a touch of smokey oak (15% new oak). Beautifully crafted. The wine reminds me of Chambolle-Musigny and that is quite an achievement. A real discovery and at a price close to Bourgogne this Premier Cru is a must buy.
