Very limited quantities available

Domaine Jean Collet was founded in 1952. The domaine comprised just 0.61 hectares and the harvest was sold to the negociants. In 1954 part of the harvest was domaine bottled and in 1959 the first exports to the USA commenced.
Collet

Gilles joined his father in 1979 and Romain, the fourth generation returned from wine school in Beaune and working abroad to complete the team in 2009.
Today the domaine has expanded to 40 hectares, from Petit Chablis, via village Chablis and premier cru, up to grand cru. Around 10 hectares are farmed organically.

The holdings include most of the top Premier Cru vineyards and the Grand Crus Les Clos and Valmur. Like Domaine Raveneau, the Collets use oak on some of their cuvees. The amount varies depending on the wine.
Collet Top 25
The domaine is firming entrenched as one of Chablis' top producers. They are included in Tim Atkin MW's Top 25.

The frost of 2016 decimated Collet's vineyards and total production was only 40% of usual. The quantity available of these highly rated wines is very small. The wines are being assembled for shipping and are due in Australia at the end of next month.

Below are 3 cuvees. To view the entire range click here.

Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru 2016
Landed Price $142.95
Pre Arrival Price $121.50
47 bottles left
Collet Clos label Tim Atkin MW:
There are only 1,000 bottles from this 0.16-hectare parcel, located in the lower part of Les Clos, and that in a year when frost spared the Collets. Fermented and aged in one-year old oak, it's mealy, complex and subtly wooded, with plenty of dry extract and weight and bracing acidity. 2020-28. 94 Points

Chablis Valmur Grand Cru 2016
Landed Price $137.95
Pre Arrival Price $116.95
36 bottles left

Collet Valmur label Tim Atkin MW: This excellent Valmur comes from a north-west-facing parcel that was planted in 1972 and expresses the more mineral side of the Grand Cru. Fermented in older wood, it's another triumph from this increasingly impressive domaine. Leesy, smoky and complex, with tangerine and citrus fruit flavours and pithy acidity. 2020-25.
95 Points

Chablis 1er Cru Les Forets 2016
Landed Price $72.95
Pre Arrival Price $61.95
46 bottles left

Collet Foret Label Tim Atkin MW: This is now the fourth vintage of Romain Collet's concrete egg-fermented Premier Cru white, which is now established as one of the best interpretations of the site. Spring flowers, white pepper and a hint of crunch celery combine appealingly on the palate, with lovely lees and a fine, salty finish. 2019-25
94 Points

Gould Campbell Label 2

Gould Campbell Vintage Port 2003 375ml

A great little bottle for those cold nights ahead.

Wine Spectator:
Loads of licorice and berries on the nose follow through to a full-bodied palate, medium sweetness and masses of fruit. Long finish. Very layered. What a deal. Best after 2014. 2,600 cases made. 95 Points

For the Love of Port:
Displaying delightful scents of plum with a smoky and roasted note. The GC offers a viscous and powerful wine with semi-sweet, blackberry and currant fruit along with a hint of vanilla and licorice. It is a boisterous, intense young Port with monstrous mouth puckering tannins and a lingering aftertaste that would be better had it not shown so much alcohol. This Vintage Port should improve for two to three decades. 2,400 cases produced. 92 Points
Normally $79.25
Special $67.35
