Superb wines with excellent reviews
It has taken a couple of years for the domaine to be "discovered" but now the reviews for Domaine Henri Magnien are starting to flood in. And what top reviews they are too.
Founded in 1987 and located in Gevrey-Chambertin Domaine Henri Magnien is a tiny estate of just 6 hectares.
Magnien Estournelles Label NV The domaine has a wonderful array of vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin. Their Gevrey Premier Crus are up there with the best - Lavaux St-Jacques, Estournelles St-Jacques, Les Cazetiers and Les Champeaux. They also own a tiny 0.16 hectare slice of the Grand Cru Ruchottes-Chambertin, one of only 8 owners.
Magnien Ruchottes Label NV This was a genuine "undiscovered" producer when I first visited four years ago when I pointed out what exceptional wines the domaine was making (albeit in very small volumes). I was delighted  to see in the September 2016 issue of Bourgogne Aujourd'Hui they have featured the domaine as their discovery! Click here to see the article.
I tasted the exceptional 2016's last month and am pleased to see more and more critics are now visiting. Tim Atkin MW and Jancis Robinson have some reviews for the 2016's.
Today we feature the 2016's Pre Arrival. The full range of wines is available at a 15% discount. There are some knockout wines!
