2016 has begun at a rapid pace. Our first container has arrived and another is due mid March. That means a lot of new wines and a bevy of first-time producers.

Our next dinner features 13 wines from 13 producers. Whilst most of the wines are from Burgundy we will also venture out to other regions of France with whites from the Rhone and the Loire.

You will have the opportunity to taste the recently bottled Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Perrieres 2016 from Domaine Jomain and the ageless Meursault 1993 from Domaine Ampeau. There's a contrast in vintages for you!

We have two brackets of reds including our third Selection Grand Millesime wine - a Pinot Noir from the Mornington Peninsula. I bet you didn't see that coming! And of course seven 2015 red Burgundies from the far north to the deep south.

It is going to be a lot of fun!

The wines will be accompanied by a 4-course meal at one of our favourite restaurants - Noir - in Richmond. The Restaurant has One Hat in the Good Food Guide and chef Peter Roddy consistently turns out great food. Click here to visit Noir's website.

it is an exceptional year for reds and a very good year for whites.
