My visit to Domaine Jomain early last year was my first. Located in Puligny-Montrachet, the domaine has a raft of fine Premier Crus and the Grand Cru Batard-Montrachet.
However is was their Bourgogne Blanc that that made me raise my eyebrows. It was simply stunning.
Jomain's Bourgogne comes from vines in Puligny-Montrachet and it displayed every character you associate with the wines of Puilgny - flowers, citrus and a stony minerality. I thought it was a villages Puligny.
Unfortunately, they were just teasing as the 2015 had sold out.
The good news is that we have secured an allocation of the new and equally stunning 2016. 2016 is considered more classic in style and having tasted the wine on my October visit to France I can highly recommend it.
Domaine Jomain is featured in Bill Nanson's The Finest Wines of Burgundy along with Leflaive, Leroy, Roulot etc. As you can see their prices are somewhat different.
If you have a love of White Burgundy (Puligny-Montrachet in particular) and don't wish to spend a fortune this is a great wine. You get all the Puligny character at a fraction of the price.
We offer the wine at our usual 15% Pre Arrival Discount which we increase to 20% for unbroken cases of 12 bottles. That make this little stunner just $37.20 a bottle!
Get you order in quickly to take advantage of our Pre Arrival Prices. The wines has arrived in Australia and will be unpacked this week.
