Domaine de la Solitude's Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee Cornelia Constanza is only produced in exceptional vintages.
The last vintage was 2010 and five years later, in 2015, the domaine has decided to release this very special cuvee again.
Cornelia Constanza is produced from 120-130 year old Grenache from the sandy soils of La Crau (home of Vieux Telegraphe).
I tasted the wine at the domaine 10 days and ago and confirm it is indeed a worthy successor to the exceptional 2010 which many of you purchased.
The wine is available in bottle and magnum but please note we only have the equivalent of 10 cases available as the domaine has sold out.

First produced in 2005 (which we consumed with Florent Lancon over dinner during my last visit. It was fresh and gorgeous).
Wine Spectator: This has great energy from the start, with notes of bay leaf, warm brick and juniper leading the way, backed by a solid core of red currant, raspberry and plum coulis flavors. The long finish lets sanguine and iron accents flow through while still leaving plenty of room for the fruit. Best from 2020 through 2035. 96 Points
