1990 Bourgogne Rouge. Direct from the Cellars. Only $39.99 a Bottle by the Case. 9 Cases left

de la Tour Bourgogne 1990
Direct from the cellars of the domaine. 27 Year Old Bourgogne at the price of current releases!
Every now and then some exceptional offers come along proving Burgundy is not always an expensive habit.
When I was offered a parcel of Bourgogne Pinot Noir from 1990 from Domaine de la Tour my interest was piqued. Those who have been drinking Burgundy for some time will remember that 1990 was a great vintage. Steen Ohman, winehog.org, rates the vintage "Outstanding to Extraordinary" and "Maturing, lesser wines fully mature". Back at the start of 90's it was far more difficult to source good Burgundy and we don't see a lot of 1990 in Australia today.
The wine has undisturbed since bottling over 25 years ago and the appearance is superb. I enquired as to how the wine was drinking and was informed by a reliable source who had tasted it days before that is was "still fresh with good acidity".
So I grabbed the last 16 cases. Today, I offer this wine at incredible prices. Prices that are less than most 2015 Bourgogne Rouge! Our Pre Arrival Price is just $44.75 a Bottle. If you buy an unbroken case of 12 the price comes down to $39.99 a bottle.
Where else can you get 27-year-old Burgundy, direct from the domaine, for less than $40.00 a Bottle? That's got to be worth a go!

We have had two containers of Burgundy arrive just a month apart. So I have selected 13 Different Wines from 13 Different Producers to feature at our next dinner.
All bar one wine is from the new 2015 vintage and most are Premier Crus. This is a great opportunity to try the 2015 vintage and gain a first-hand knowledge of makers new to our portfolio.
We will be back at Noir in Richmond where chef Peter Roddy will match the wines with a 4 course menu.
Date: Tuesday 31 October 2017
Time: 7pm
