Meursault has some great vineyards. The Premier Crus Les Perrieres, Genevrieres and Charmes are the three favourites but after them the wine I like the most is Les Narvaux.
Narvaux is a rocky vineyard above the Premier Crus. It is broken into several segments which seem to be blasted out of the bare rock. It is this rock that gives the wine its freshness and mineral spine. The quality here is very close to Premier Cru.

Aged white Burgundy was once one of the great pleasures of the wine world. But alas, as we all know, it is not easy to find decade old whites still in perfect condition.
Overnight I purchased a parcel of Meursault Les Narvaux 2000 from the cellars of Joseph de Bucy. What impressed me most was the incredible colour of the wine. It looks like the wine was made just a few years ago. This is a white Burgundy of the style we used to see and love. The tasting note from France is "Bright yellow colour, nicely evolved nose, very fresh, good bodied fruit - very nice!!" The photo alongside shows the terrific condition and outstanding colour.
Today I offer this 17 year old White Burgundy at less than what a bottle of 2015 Meursault Narvaux would cost. Buy a Case of 12 Bottles and save $360.00. That makes the wine just $59.95 a Bottle. You can drink aged Meursault Narvaux instead of Bourgogne Blanc.
And as a guarantee: should you buy the wine and find it is oxidized I will refund you the bottle price. This offer is valid for 12 months from the date of delivery. How can you go wrong?

Aged Burgundies are no longer available in the quantities they once were. This is a great opportunity to secure a 17-year-old white less than the price of the current vintage. In fact it is not much more than many current Bourgogne Blanc.
