They say all good things take time. Benoit Stehly, the nephew of Georges, has been making the wines at George Lignier for some years. He has refined and developed his own style which is more about freshness, aromatics and complexity rather than extraction and heavy oak handling.

I tasted his 2015's last December and was extremely impressed. The concensus is that they are the best wines Benoit has ever made.
Clos des Ormes lies at the foot of the Grand Cru Clos de la Roche and was initially founded by the Citeaux monks. The vineyard was largely replanted following heavy soil erosion during 1963. The nose always offers richness with dark fruit and spice.

Clive Coates describes Clos des Ormes as one of Morey's best Premier Crus and considers it "a lesser - but by no means ignoble - Clos de la Roche". Outstanding value for the quality.
We managed to squeeze another 60 bottles out of the domaine and until sold you can buy these at just $99.99 a bottle. That's a 30% Pre Arrival Discount and incredible buying for a 94-Point 1er Cru from 2015.

Tim Atkin MWBenoît Stehly's two hectares of old vines are divided into three parts, producing a fine, subtle, beautifully defined Pinot with the graceful fruit sweetness and delicate oak that are the hallmark of the domaine's style. The acidity drives the finish of this impressive Premier Cru.

Bichot 2015 Amoureuses HeaderAlbert Bichot Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses 2015
Burgundy's Best Premier Cru
There is little doubt that Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses is of Grand Cru quality. The producers and market certainly see it that way and it sells for more than many classified Grand Crus.
A recent Amoureuses tasting I hosted featured 5 consecutive vintages of the Albert Bichot, 2010-2014, and the wines showed exceptionally well with superb aromatics and wonderful typicity. Save 15% today.
We have 2 bottles and 4 magnums of the terrific 2015 available for some lucky fans. The wine won a Gold Medal and the Trophy for Best Chambolle-Musigny at the International Wine Challenge 2017.
Tim Atkin MW: The Bichot Les Amoureuses is often the best négociant bottling from this famous Premier Cru and that's certainly the case in 2015. It's a pale, refined, feline Pinot Noir with classis rose petal and peony notes, a core of red fruit sweetness and silky, palate-caressing tannins. 2020-28.

Wine Advocate - Neal Martin:
The 2015 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Amoureuses, which contains 20-25% whole bunch fruit, has a surprisingly understated bouquet when considering both the precocity of the vintage and the esteemed vineyard in question. It gently unfurls with red cherries, strawberry preserve, crushed rose petals and wet stone. This is very classy and dare I say, I might mistake it for say one of Christophe Roumier's wines. The palate is very refined with crisp acidity, shimmering red cherry and strawberry fruit, superb mineralité and great tension on the finish. Do not underestimate this Amoureuses, because I suspect it will have a long and prosperous future. 94-96 Points
