Save $25 on a Lovely Beaune Blanc from Domaine Berthelemot

Berthelemot Longbois Header
A super drink at a great price

Domaine Berthelemot produce some terrific whites and reds from the Cote de Beaune. A small domaine, they have expanded significantly in recent years which is always a very positive sign.
One wine that always gives me pleasure is their Beaune Longbois Blanc.
The name Longbois stems from fact that this plot is long and was originally covered with trees. It is quite high and the gentle slopes face east. The soil is clay and limestone which is shallow and stony.
For some reason the 2015 has slipped under the radar and we still have almost 4 cases to sell. If you are looking for a value Cote d'Or Blanc this wine is sure to delight. At our Special Price it is cheaper than many Bourgogne Blancs.

Darren Harris: When writing my tasting note for the 2015 I looked back over my reviews for past vintages of this smart little white from Beaune. It is amazing how consistent my notes are. Every vintage this wine delivers a nose of citrus and flowers. It is fresh and lively, and light on its feet. Perhaps a little Chablis-esque with a dash of Puligny acidity and Meursault texture. It is always a delight. The 2015 is another great wine in the series and for those looking for a high quality, well priced white you simply can't go wrong. It is a real winner!

Bart Grand Cru Pair
Domaine Bart 2015 Grand Cru Pair

I am always on the lookout for interesting new wines.
Overnight I purchased a small parcel of 2015 Grand Crus produced by Domaine Bart. I have 3 each Chambertin Clos de Beze and Bonnes-Mares 2015 available.
I am offering the wines as a Pair (one of each). The price is $750.00 per Pair.

In today's market that is quite reasonable - most Clos de Beze alone is that sort of price.

Burghound notes:

Chambertin Clos de Beze 2015: A ripe and overtly spicy nose displays notes of plum liqueur, dark currant, spice and plenty of earth. The sleek, intense, mineral-inflected and powerful medium-bodied flavors possess a more refined mouth feel before culminating in a slightly more complex and persistent finale. I like the sense of balance and this should amply reward 10 to 15 years of cellaring. 91-93 Points

Bonnes-Mares 2015:
A fresh and more complex nose mingles wonderfully fresh aromas of both red and dark currant, violet, lavender and subtle spice wisps. There is excellent volume and concentration to the intense middle weight flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel while delivering very solid length on the firm but not hard finale where a touch of warmth emerges. 90-93 Points
