A-F Gros Hautes Cotes Header 25
A 2015 Red Burgundy in Screwcap
The Gros family own 3.22 hectares of Hautes Cotes de Nuits near the Village of Arcenant. Jasper Morris say this is "One of the best wine villages in the Hautes Cotes de Nuits" and the soils here are quite similar to those of Corton. The vineyard is on a small hill before the forest, which protects it from strong winds. The vines are planted so they follow the slope and contours of the small hill.  This layout allows them to plant the vines on steep slopes without the risk of erosion of the soil.

For the first time the family has decided to bottle some Hautes Cotes de Nuits in Screwcap. For those in favour of this closure it is a small step in the right direction!

We need to place our order promptly for this wine so instead of the usual 15% Pre Arrival Discount we are offering this wine at a 25% savings.

Wine Advocate - Neal Martin:
The 2015 Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits probably offers more "Pinoté" on the nose compared to the Bourgogne Rouge this year, a little more delineation. The palate is fresh on the entry with crunchy red cherry fruit mixed with raspberry and a touch of white pepper, well balanced with a harmonious and very satisfying finish. This is delicious and comes recommended. 90 Points
