Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru
2003 and 2006 - Just $99.95 a Bottle!
Not all Burgundy is expensive. A recent visit to Domaine Camus in Gevrey-Chambertin turned up some aged Grand Crus at remarkable prices.

Domaine Camus own 10.5 ha of Grand Cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin which includes 3.03 hectares of Charmes-Chambertin and 3.90 hectares of Mazoyeres-Chambertin. They are the largest owners by quite a distance.

It would be fair to say the wines are not of the quality of Domaine Rousseau but then neither are the prices. Where else can you buy Grand Cru Reds for under $100 a Bottle? That is less than the price of many Villages wines.
Today I present these remarkably affordable wines at an Introductory Pre Arrival Discount of 25%. This is a rare opportunity to pick up some Grand Crus at crazy low prices. Jump on line and order as these won't last.

Camus Charmes Mood
Darren Harris: Good colour. Ripe and full but showing some appealing restraint. This wine is certainly not over the top like many 2003's. Plums, earth and underbrush with a suave feel to the mid palate and fine tannins on the finish. One senses the grapes were picked quite early and the wine is the better for it. Serious value for money.

Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 2006
Landed Price $133.50
Pre Arrival Price $99.95 (Save 25%)

Camus Charmes Mood
Bill Nanson, Burgundy Report: The nose is mineral and understated - yet there is quite some depth. In the mouth, this has a nice racy stance with good texture and a nice depth of flavour that slowly expands before decaying in the finish. This wine has much to commend it - it is neither simple nor 'fruity', but it is engaging.

Domaine Long-Depaquit Chablis Moutonne Monopole Grand Cru 2014
7 Magnums Left
One of the wines of the vintage
Moutonne is a Grand Cru Monopole belonging to Domaine Long-Depaquit - one of the Bichot estates.
Tim Atkin MW describes it as "The Montrachet of Chablis" and it is invariably one of the top wines of every vintage.
We have 7 Magnums of the exceptional 2014 in stock which we offer at what was the original Pre Arrival Discount of 15%.
Tim Atkin MW:
The best release yet from this historic "eighth Grand Cru", this is a youthful, compact wine with considerable ageing potential. Savoury, minerally and taut with notes of oyster shall and subtle oak, it's the Montrachet of Chablis. 2016-27.

The World of Fine Wine:
The sort of outstanding wine that has everything: delicate haunting aromas, citrus, pear, hawthorn: wondrous vinosity and multilayered, ever so subtle flavors that change in the glass. Majestic length and race. Be patient-until at least 2020. Great value, too. 98 Points
