Aged Premier Cru Burgundies from just $65 a bottle!

My last trip to Burgundy at the end of last year turned up some wonderful aged wines from Doudet-Naudin.

From an extensive tasting I selected 4 Reds and 1 White from the great vintages of 1999, 2001 and 2002. I did a great deal and we are now able to present 15-18 year old Burgundies for way under $100 a Bottle.

These wines have never left the domaine's cellars so are in immaculate condition.

The wines are now on the way from France and for a limited time you may purchase them a super Pre Arrival Prices of up to 42% discount!
Why drink 2014's when you can drink 1999's, 2001's and 2002's?

Mix and match as you please.
Doudet-Naudin Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Serpentieres 1999
Normal Price $141.95
Special Pre Arrival Price $99.95
By the Unbroken Case $1079.40 (=$89.95 a Bottle)
Doudet Serpentieres Some say this vineyard was named after snakes that once inhabited the site but it appears more likely that the name refers to the twisting boundaries between holdings. Located mid slope Les Serpentieres is a very well respected vineyard capable of producing long lasting wines with real length and power. In 1999 this is a super wine.
Doudet-Naudin Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Gravains 1999
Normal Price $141.95
Special Pre Arrival Price $99.95
Only 15 bottles left
Doudet Gravains Label Located alongside Les Serpentieres, Les Gravains has a more sandy, gravelly soil, from which the vineyard name originates. A more elegant, floral style than its neighbour with good tannins. The Savigny acidity ensures a long life.

Doudet-Naudin Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Vergelesses 2001
Normal Price $99.95
Special Pre Arrival Price $65.00

Doudet Vergelesses
Darren Harris: Powerful nose of plum, mineral and dark berries. A little Savigny earth. Palate is deep, with sweet fruit finishing with fresh acidity. Still quite muscular. The wine is energetic with fine length. An unashamedly old-style Burgundy where new oak played no part. Hence the ability to age so gracefully. The benefits of storage in the cool, dark cellars of the domaine are evident.
Doudet-Naudin Beaune 1er Cru Les Perrieres 2002
Normal Price $129.95
Special Pre Arrival Price $79.95

Doudet Perthuisots Label
15 Year Old White Burgundy
Drinking Wonderfully!
Aged white Burgundy was once one of the great pleasures of the wine world. But alas, as we all know, it is not easy to find decade old whites still in perfect condition.
At my tasting at Doudet-Naudin late last year I tried the 2002 Beaune 1er Cru Perthuisots Blanc and was knocked out with its freshness and character. 2002 was one of the stars of the 2000's and winehog.org describes the vintage as "cool and quite classic". The best wines have aged beautifully.
This wine is remarkable value.
Darren Harris:
Apart from Clos de Mouches we do not see many whites from Beaune. However, the commune is very capable of producing long-lived whites that develop serious complexity. This is one example! Quite pale colour. Intense nose displaying crème brulee with some citrus and flowers. The palate is rich and round, but not fat - it is underpinned by good acidity. Fresh! Really rather complex and drinking beautifully. Not a trace of premature ageing. 2002 was a highly lauded vintage for white Burgundy. Unfortunately in Australia we see far too many premoxed whites. This Beaune 1er Cru is fresh and very interesting. Try it. Aged white Burgundy as it should be!
Normally $105.50
