Terrific Wines of Yesteryear
Direct from the Burgundy cellars of Pierre Bouree

Pierre Bouree was founded in 1864. Their cellars contain a vast array of aged wines that they release from time to time. Over the years we have dabbled with their wines, both new and old.

Recently Bernard Vallet contacted us again to ask us to promote their wines in Australia. In addition to the current releases he has made available a huge back catalogue of wines spanning an incredible array of vineyards from the Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits.

Bouree Champeaux Label Today we present this vast collection of wines, all of which have been aged in the Bouree cellars. Those of you who have been drinking wine for some time will probably remember the late Len Evans' passion for the wines of Pierre Bouree which he brought into Australia in Bouree Charmes label significant quantities. Thewy were great wines in times when Burgundy was not so well promoted.

If you are a fan of aged wines, are looking for anniversary or birthday vintages, or would like to assemble a lineup for a vertical or horizontal tasting this is a great opportunity. The prices for aged wines are very reasonable.

The wines are not on our website but we do have a PDF list of everything available with Pre Arrival Prices. To download a copy of the list click here.

Born in 1962?
Two lovely Grand Crus for a special anniversary....
You have probably heard me say that finding aged Burgundy in France has become difficult and that is certainly true. Finding top Grand Crus in this lovely condition is even harder.

Today we present two lovely bottles of 1962 Grand Cru Burgundy - one from Romanee-St-Vivant, the other from Grands Echezeaux.
Lupe-Cholet is part of the Albert Bichot empire. I do not know whether these are a special cellar release or have just been well cellared.
