"If you enjoy minerality in your Chablis, this vintage is one to snap up" Rosemary George MW, Decanter Magazine July 2012
2010 is a great year for Chablis. Like the Cote d'Or the wines have great minerality and freshness.
The July issue of Decanter Magazine features a tasting of almost 200 Premier Cru Chablis from the 2010 vintage. The overall results are very strong and we are pleased to see one of our wines amongst the seven 5 Star wines.
2010 Domaine Long-Depaquit
Chablis 1er Cru Vaucopins
Normal Price $53.00
Pre Arrival Price $45.00
Fine aromas of salt, honey and oak. The palate shows appealing minerality with an underlying richness. Quite a textured wine which is mouthfilling and youthfull with clear premier cru tenacity of flavour and class. Excellent. 5 Stars
As good as this wine is I have a personal preference for the 1er Cru Vaillons which is even more classic in style. Both wines, plus a range of super stylish 2010 Grand Cru Chablis (including the rare Monopole Moutonne) are in transit at the moment. They will arrive at the end of this month. All the wines have received excellent reviews from Burghound and Tanzer.
