Gautherin 2014 Chablis Villages Header
What a delight!
The 2014 Chablis continue to delight with their wonderful minerality, freshness and drive.

Gautherin Paris Gold Medal We have concentrated on the Premier Crus but this Villages wine from Domaine Raoul Gautherin is a stunner. It was awarded a Gold Medal at the Concours General Agricole in Paris this year - a sure sign of its exceptional quality.

Recent weeks have seen a stream of reports come through from domaines and critics. 2015 is a good vintage but does not have the classic character of 2014. Due to the disastrous frosts and hail 2016 production will be less than 50% of normal. And that means big price increases. I cannot emphasize how good the 2014's are and what bargains they are at the moment.

If you are looking for a wonderful French Chardonnay to drink on a regular basis you can't go past this wine. Put a case in the cellar and thank me later.

Gautherin Chablis Label Darren Harris: This wine really sums up the wonderful 2014 vintage in Chablis. It is crisp with citrus, minerals and a touch of oyster shell. The acid line and white fruits are most enticing, the wine light but delightfully intense. The ripeness of the fruit is perfect with a mouthwatering juiciness and no oak. Simply delicious.
