Prestige des Grands Vins de France was founded by Alain Corcia in 1983. The idea was to promote a range of Burgundy to export markets across the globe. After three decades of trading the Corcia family has built up a fine portfolio of wines including a super selection of aged bottles.
Where this was once common place in Burgundy, the recent string of small vintages and the cost of ageing wines in the cellar, means that few producers are able to retain aged stocks.
Today we present a vast array of wines from the Collection Alain Corcia. The wines go back to the 1980's and what makes them so interesting is that the prices for aged wines are virtually identical to the current vintage.
The range includes a wonderful selection of Meursault Crus including 13 vintages of Meursault 1er Cru Perrieres, Meursault Rougeots (the vineyard made famous by Coche-Dury), a big range of vintages of Volnay 1er Cru Clos de Chenes and Pommard 1er Cru Pezerolles and many more affordable bottles.
There is a terrific selection of vintages including 1999, 2002, 2005 and 2010 for Reds. It is a great opportunity to stock the cellar with properly aged wines at a great price.
The wines are not on our website. We have two PDF's listing all of the wines.
