Hospices de Beaune 2010 Beaune Premier Cru. Save 25%! Last bottles

Hospices 2010 Avaux
From the wonderful 2010 vintage!
Last few bottles. Nearly sold out

On the third Sunday of November the Hospices de Beaune holds its annual wine auction. The event is steeped in history with its origins dating back to the 15th century.
The wines, from vineyards (mostly) donated to the charity over the centuries, are sold in a grand affair in the heart of Beaune.
A unexpected opportunity enabled us to pick up 46 bottles of one of the most interesting cuvees from the glorious 2010 vintage.

The Hospices de Beaune Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Avaux is the only Hospices de Beaune wine not to feature the name of a benefactor. The 1.63 hectare parcel of vines was acquired by the Hospices de la Charite before the French Revolution!
We offer the 46 bottles at a terrific price for a 2010 Premier Cru. If you don't have some 2010's in your cellar here is your chance.

Anthony Hanson MW:
Colour is bright purple-red of medium depth, aromas being complex, ripe and very appetising. On the palate, this is richly fruity, with freshness, and a lovely finish, showing harmony and fine intensity.

From the glorious 2010 vintage.
