Do not delay - critics are describing the vintage as the best for decades. Quantities still available are tiny
We have been telling you how good 2014 Whites, and in particular the wines of Domaine Jean Chartron, are. We now how reviews from John Gilman and they are super!

Domaine Jean Chartron has a magnificent range of wines from Puligny-Montrachet and nearby. Today he is firmly in the first league consistently producing wines of great complexity.
A lot of our 2014 White Burgs have already sold out but we do have 14 bottles of the super Batard-Montrachet from Chartron left. Neal Martin of the Wine Advocate scores the Chartron Batard 93-95. Compare that to Domaine Leflaive's 2014 Batard which he scores 90-92! John Gilman scores the wine 95+!

And what about the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets. Gilman scores it 94+! That is huge for a Premier Cru.

We urge you to act quickly as these wines are very limited and with such super scores our remaining allocation is selling fast.

Chartron Batard Label
From vines planted in 1960.

Wine Advocate - Neal Martin:The 2014 Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru has a focused, stony, stoic bouquet with fine mineralité, but clearly prefers you to wait several years for it to fully open. In this sense it is the sibling of the 2014 Clos du Cailleret. There are traces of peach skin and jasmine that emerge with time, a little honeysuckle, however everything here is kept in check. The palate is crisp and fresh on the entry, saline and driven by the acidity with a touch of pepper enlivening the finish that gently fans out, yet never loses its head. This is another very fine Grand Cru93-95 Points

John Gilman "View from the Cellar":
The 2014 Domaine Chartron Bâtard-Montrachet is a great wine in the making. The deep and pure nose offers up a primary constellation of apple, pear, orange zest, a great base of chalky soil tones, lemon blossoms and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, racy and absolutely rock solid at the core, with outstanding focus and grip, a properly reserved personality out of the blocks and a very, very long, perfectly balanced finish. Stellar juice. 2023-2060+. 95+ Points

Chartron Chassagne Caillerets Label John Gilman "View from the Cellar":
As I noted above, the 2014 Chassagne "Caillerets" was still in tank at the time of my visit and was absolutely singing. The great young nose soars from the glass in a nascently complex blend of lemon, pear, a touch of tangerine, kaleidoscopic minerality, floral tones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine si deep, full-bodied and absolutely rock solid at the core, with a fine sense of youthful reserved, laser-like focus, racy acids and outstanding length and grip on the zesty and electric finish. This is a great example of this superb terroir. 2020-2040+. 94+ Points
