Two with 95-Point Scores!

2014 Chablis has captured the attention of wine lovers worldwide. It is a stunning vintage. And as good as it is now the winemakers tell me it will be even better after a year or two in bottle.

A number of clients have asked me which wines I recommend so today I feature 4 Premier Crus that particularly appeal to me for their mineral, saline, classic Chablis character.

They are incredible value and if you are partial to Chablis you should not miss them. We have made a number of offers but believe me stocks are getting low.

Check these out.....and how about the scores! They're huge for Premier Crus!

Domaine Fourrey Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu 2014
Normally $51.95
Pre Arrival Price $43.95
Fourrey Milieu Label
From two plots of 30 year old vines owned by the young Fourreys' mother. As usual this is a wine with such finesse, combining ripe stone fruit with a taut mineral streak. Fine and persistent.

GOLD MEDAL WINNER - Decanter World Wine Awards. Review not yet published. 95 Points

A steal! Buy a case and drink it over the next decade.
Domaine Long-Depaquit Chablis 1er Cru Vaucopins 2014
Normally $76.50
Pre Arrival Price $64.95
Long-Depaquit Vaucopins Label Tim Atkin MW: One of a series of remarkable Chablis from Long-Depaquit in 2014, Vaucopins (spelt with an "s" and without the "u" on this label) this right bank white is very stylish, fresh and mineral, showing hints of candle wax, brine and fresh earth with a hint of oak. 2017-24.
95 Points
Domaine Collet Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnerre 2014
Normally $64.95
Pre Arrival Price $54.95
Collet Montee Label Black Tim Atkin MW: Another excellent wine from Romain Collet, combining fruit from Chapelots and Montée de Tonnerre itself. Subtly oaked and refined, it shows the breed of this Premier Cru: plush, smooth and textured yet underpinned by vivid acidity and minerality. 2017-25.
94 Points
Domaine Alain Geoffroy Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume 2014
Normally $58.95
Pre Arrival Price $49.95

Geoffroy Fourchaume Label
Bill Nanson "The Burgundy Report":
A parcel of 2.5 ha all in the same sector of 'real' Fourchaume.
A broader top note on the nose, lime/herb impression. Broader again in the mouth, a fruit profile a little in the direction of 2008, but tasty and with a super clarity. Excellent and a great finish too.
Nanson does not uses numeric scores. I tasted this again on Tuesday and it was a knockout. Very much the same quality as the previous three wines.

Dampt Chateau Label

Vignoble Dampt Bourgogne Tonnerre Clos du Chateau Blanc 2014

We have a little of this amazing Bourgogne left. I tasted it again on Tuesday and it is quite something. The Dampts place the wine after their Premier Cru Chablis when tasting their full range. I can confirm that it where it sits!

Bill Nanson "The Burgundy Report": The Clos du Chateau Tonnerre a modest slope plenty of clay not unlike Preuses - a nice terroir.
"Depth, aromatic vibrancy and a little higher delicacy. Hmmm... This has lovely texture, bright flavour, nice dimension - it is really not silly that it is following Mont de Milieu (the domaine serves this AFTER their Premier Cru Chablis, just before the Grand Crus, at tastings!).

Normally $35.50 a Bottle
Pre Arrival $29.95
Case of 12 Bottles $340.80
