96 Point Chablis 1er Cru Montee de Tonnere from Long-Depaquit. Outscores Raveneau!

Long-Depaquit Montee 2014 Header
How often do you see a Premier Cru Chablis rated 96 Points?

This is one to grab!

We have all read just how terrific the 2014 white vintage is in Burgundy. This excitement has extended to Chablis where some are saying 2014 is a vintage of a lifetime.

Yesterday we offered some Grand Cru Chablis from Domaine Long-Depaquit. Today, we have the incredible 1er Cru Montee de Tonnere 2014.

This super score places this Chablis on the same tier as Bouchard Chevalier-Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet La Cabotte, Niellon Chevalier-Montrachet, Fontaine-Gagnard Montrachet, Sauzet Batard-Montrachet, Raveneau Les Clos and Valmur and a plethora of other serious Grand Cru Burgundies.

The Long-Depaquit Montee de Tonnere outscores the Raveneau Montee de Tonnere which was awarded a rating of 95 Points!

My tip - grab some whilst you can! The wine is a bargain!

Long-Depaquit Montee Label Tim Atkin MW: There's more oak on this top-notch Premier Cru than on some of the Long-Depaquit bottlings, but the wine has the intensity and focus to cope. It's a complex, multi-layered Chablis with the sort of minerality that makes your mouth water and a salty, sea breeze tang. 2018-27.
