Premier Cru Burgundy for less than the Price of many generic Bourgogne!
Santenay is the most southerly of the major towns of the Cote d'Or. It is a major source for both red and white wines, which deliver plenty of bang for your buck.
The Girardin family have been vintners since the beginning of the 19th century. A generational change has just occured at this domaine and it is now run by the son Justin, with the assistance of his father Jacques (who is the brother of Vincent Girardin) and Jacques' wife Valerie. Note the new labels on these latest releases. The domaine own 17 hectares of vines, mostly in Santenay and Savigny-Les-Beaune.
The new vintage form this domaine is 2013. It is another small vintage. This usually means a hike in prices. But not at Domaine Justin (or Jacques) Girardin. Despite the weak Australian Dollar prices are almost identical to past vintages.
We can offer Premier Cru Reds at just $52.95 a bottle. This includes the tremendously popular Santenay 1er Cru Clos Rousseau and Beauregard.
