Domaine Jean Chartron is producing White Burgundy which rates up there with the best. Each year the domaine's reputation rises.
Wine critic John Gilman in "A View from the Cellar" sums the domaine's performance up very well "Jean-Michel Chartron continues to make absolutely superb wines from his family's domaine in the centre of Puligny-Montrachet, and his 2013's are another extremely strong set of wines." "The entire range in 2013 is outstanding and Domaine Jean Chartron really deserves to be wider recognized for the beautiful wines that they have been consistently producing for many years now - the 2013s are stellar."
2013 is another small vintage and our allocation of some wines was as little as 6 bottles! However, we do have some Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, the stunning Corton-Charlemagne and the two Monopole Puligny-Montrachet available.
All wines have received excellent reviews from John Gilman.

John Gilman, A View
from the Cellar:
Jean-Michel Chartron's 2013 Clos des Chevaliers is one of the finest white wines of the vintage this year, with absolutely breath-taking potential. The young and stunning nose soars from the glass in a blaze of pear, delicious apple, very complex, chalky minerality, hints of the pastry cream to come, citrus peel, white flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and rock solid at the core, with stunning soil signature, laser-like focus and magnificent purity and elegance on the very, very long, electric finish. Brilliant Chevalier. 2020-2055. 96+ Points
