Revisit the Great 2010 Vintage AND
Test your palate with a Blind Tasting of 3 Grand Cru Red Burgundies!
The theme for our next Wine Dinner in Melbourne is 2010 Burgundy - 5 Years On. Many of our customers have purchased wines from the great 2010 vintage and a number have asked me when they should be drinking them. The easiest way to get an idea is to pull some corks and have a taste.
We have selected 9 different 2010 Burgundies from Villages to Grand Cru from appellations across the breadth of the Cote d'Or to get an idea of just where 2010 is at. Of course, in addition to the exercise the wines promise to be great fun to drink for those simply interested to taste some fine Burgundy.
And if that wasn't enough the last bracket of wines will be a trio of Grand Cru Red Burgundy. At recent dinners we have served several wines masked and this has proven to be popular. So to finish this dinner I have assembled a trio of Grand Cru Red Burgundies which we will serve "blind". I will ask some questions and the winner will win a prize. History shows that a bit of luck (and good guesses) can prove decisive!
This dinner will be at one of our favourite venues - Noir - in Richmond. Click here to visit Noir's website.
