Chambertin and Bonnes-Mares - two of the biggest names of Burgundy.
Both vineyards produce Grand Cru wines of exceptional power and depth that are capable of ageing brilliantly for decades.
Chambertin is one of the tetes of the Cote d'Or and is often referred to as the King of Burgundy for its strength and majesty.
Bonnes-Mares is a deep and brooding wine for a Chambolle. It is powerful and tannic and yearns for time in the cellar.
We have a small allocation of both from Albert Bichot and for the next week, instead of our usual 15% Pre Arrival Discount, we offer the wines at a 25% Pre Arrival Discount.
The extra 10% makes quite a difference of wines of this calibre.

Special Pre Arrival Price $524.00
Tim Atkin MW: This parcel is situated close to that of Lalou Bize-Leroy, which is not a bad place to be if
you're looking for posh neighbours. It's a little closed at the moment, with oak, a touch of minty reduction and slightly drying tannins, but there's enough fruit at its core to encourage
patience. 2018-26. 95 Points
Albert Bichot Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru 2013
Special Pre Arrival Price $399.00
Burghound: This is brooding and inexpressive to the point of being all but mute and it requires aggressive swirling to liberate a glimpse of floral and earth nuances. There is outstanding density to the overtly powerful and imposingly-scaled flavors that are underpinned by very firm but again not hard tannins on the beautifully persistent finish. This is very much old school in style though there is only a trace of rusticity. In the same vein as the Charmes, as impressive as this is it is most definitely not a good candidate for early consumption. Drink 2028+. 92-94 Points
