What a way to start the week! A selection of back vintage Grand Cru Reds direct from the producers cellar!
Latricieres-Chambertin is a great vineyard. It adjoins Le Chambertin on the top side of the Route de Grand Crus. For me this is the most Chambolle-like vineyard of Gevrey-Chambertin. Great Latricieres is always lacy, elegant, perfumed and long. The French say arien - a word that sits somewhere between airy and ethereal. It should have compexity and intensity but be light on its feet. It is the Gevrey version of Le Musigny.
Albert Bichot have very kindly offered a range of back vintages featuring every year from 2006 to 2013. Production is not large so opportunities like this are seldom available, especially at the sort of prices we offer these Grand Crus.
The wines are all available individually at out usual Pre Arrival discount of 15% (20% if you buy an unbroken case of one wine). But why not take advantage of our incredible price for the 8-Bottle Tasting Pack and save yourself $766.00 - or over 25%?

The 2012 was my favourite wine in the Bichot cellars during my 2012 barrel tasting.
The Wine Advocate says: The 2012 Latricieres-Chambertin Grand Cru is straight-laced on the nose: prim and proper black fruit with tertiary notes developing. The palate is very fine with a chalky opening, crisp acidity and slightly brittle tannins. But the fruit profile is very pleasurable with blackberry, a touch of mulberry and raspberry. It actually builds nicely in the mouth and challenges the Chambertin in terms of length. Look out for this as it is one of Bichot's top performing 2012s. 92-94 Points
