Felettig 2013 PA Header

Brilliant Wines, tiny quantities

We are delighted to offer the 2013 wines from Domaine Felettig. This small domaine is producing stunning red Burgundy as many of you will know from the 2010, 2011 and 2012 wines we have imported.

Burghound says in his introduction to the 2013's "I would again call to your attention that the quality at this domaine has skyrocketed over the past few vintages and there is now an almost night and day difference relative to only a few years ago."

This is a domaine on the march!

Our 2013 allocation is a little larger than 2012 with the majority of the increase at the Villages end. Quantities of the top wines remain very small so to ensure a fair distribution I have assembled some 6-Bottle Tasting Packs for those of you who want the very best. These Packs are VERY limited.

Domaine Felettig was founded in 1965 with just 2 hectares of vines and an hectare of currants. Over the decades it has expanded with some tremendous acquisitions in Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanee and Flagey-Echezeaux.

Felettig Fuesselottes Label The style of wine made here is deep and complex. The Chambolles, which can be soft at other addresses, are deep and complex. They enjoy tremendous suppport from winemakers who really appreciate the quality and style.

The 2013's have been well reviewed by Burghound and if you want to get some of these hot wines I suggest you act very quickly.

All wines are available at our usual Pre Arrival Discount of 15%. Buy a Full Case of the any of the Villages or Hautes-Cotes de Nuits and we will increase the discount to 20%.

Make sure you look at the Villages Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-St-Georges - they are classic examples of the appellations.

The Many Faces of Burgundy Dinner at Noir

Many Faces of Burgundy Dinner

For our next dinner we have decided to do something a bit different. The greatest pleasure drinking Burgundy comes when you understand what makes vineyards, makers and vintages unique. Why do vineyards alongside each other taste so different even when made by the same winemaker in the same year? What difference does the vintage have on a wine? Or why do two winemakers produce such different wines in the same year from rows of vines metres apart?

We're going to tackle that and much more!

At this dinner we will look at 12 Burgundies, each served in Pairs, but with one factor different. They will be served blind within their brackets.

The concept is part education and part fun. Don't worry, it won't be too serious, difficult or intimidating. You can count on me embarassing myself numerous times. If you would like to learn more about the many faces of Burgundy this will be an informative dinner.

Date: Monday 30 March 2015

Time: 7pm

Venue: Noir, 175 Swan Street, Richmond 3121

Cost: $159.00 per person
