Are you ready for something challenging?
Our dinners have been a lot of fun and we have enjoyed the company of everyone who has attended.
For the next dinner we have decided to do something a bit different. The greatest pleasure drinking Burgundy comes when you understand what makes vineyards, makers and vintages unique. Why do vineyards alongside each other taste so different even when made by the same winemaker in the same year? What difference does the vintage have on a wine? Or why do two winemakers produce such different wines in the same year from rows of vines metres apart?
We're going to tackle that and much more!
At this dinner we will look at 12 Burgundies, each served in Pairs, but with one factor different. I'd rather not tell you the wines but you will find them listed below. They will be served blind within their brackets.
The concept is part education and part fun. Don't worry, it won't be too serious, difficult or intimidating. You can count on me embarassing myself numerous times. If you would like to learn more about the many faces of Burgundy this will be an informative dinner.
We will be back at Noir in Richmond where we were treated to such a good meal at our Summer Dinner in February. To read more about the restaurant click here.
