Stop Press! Nuits-St-Georges Burgundy Dinner at Noir. Monday 17 November 2014. $185 per Person

NSW Dinner at Noir

12 Different Premier Crus from North to South.

An outstanding opportunity to taste and discover Nuits-St-Georges

Our recent Vosne-Romanee Dinner was a tremendous success. It was both fun and educational to taste a line up of wines from a single commune.

Our next Burgundy Dinner goes one step further. This time time we will focus on Nuits-St-Georges.

And to make the dinner even more interesting every wine will be a Premier Cru. 12 Different to be precise!

The Premier Crus of Nuits-St-Georges fall into three distinct and quite different sectors.

North of the town, on the Vosne-Romanee border we find wines of finesse and perfume - a beguiling blend of Nuits strength and Vosne style. Boudots, Damodes and Murgers are amongst the best.

South of the town is where the richest and most powerful wines are found. Here we have Les St Georges, Vaucrains, Cailles, Rue de Chaux and Perrieres - all classic Nuits.

Further south, in the commune of Primeaux, lie the third group. The area features many monopoles and interesting wines that are not as powerful as the middle group. Famous sites include Clos de Marechaudes, Clos des Argillieres and Clos St Marc.

Noir Logo We have an exciting new venue for this Dinner. Noir is on Swan St in Richmond. It has One Hat in the Age Good Food Guide and is turning our some exceptional dishes at reasonable prices. You can visit their website here.

We will start with canapes accompanied Drappier Champagne, followed by three courses showcasing 12 Different Premier Crus tasting from North to South.

This exciting Premier Cru Dinner will open your eyes to the variety and quality that Nuits-St-Georges now produces.
