Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Pale, green-tinged color. White flowers, nuts and vanillin oak on the nose. Sweet and harmonious, with a captivating sugar/acid balance. Wonderfully fat wine with captivating oak spices and compelling finishing sweetness. This really starts the salivary glands working. Boillot says this is much easier to taste at this early stage than the 2002 was.

A deftly oaked nose that combines pungent aromas of very ripe orchard fruit and earth notes melt into very bright, powerful and intense full-bodied flavors that possess impressive amounts of dry extract and huge length. This is even more powerful than it usually is yet sacrifices none of its precision or style because of it. In short, this is a massive wine that manages to retain considerable grace and presence.
