Domaine Chevillon-Chezeaux Coteaux Bourguignons 2017 (5747)

France - Burgundy - Cote de Nuits - Generic
Gamay

In 2011 the regional appellation Coteaux Bourguignons was created. It translates as "Burgundy Hills" and includes the areas in and around Burgundy not entitled to a more lofty appellation.

But like all things in Burgundy not everything is created equal. Coteaux Bourguignons can come from far afield but Domaine Chevillon-Chezeaux's (who are located in Nuits-St-Georges) comes from Vosne-Romanee and Nuits-St-Georges!

The vineyards used for this wine are Champs d'Argent in Vosne-Romanee and Croix Blanche and Petit Chaliot in Nuits-St-Georges. Not too shabby!

Purple-garnet. Aromatic nose. The palate is crisp and fresh with blood orange and spice notes. Tight and zippy with an elegant balance. 100% Gammay from Champs d'Argent in Vosne-Romanee and Croix Blanche and Petit Chaliot in Nuits-St-Georges.
