Darren Harris

Planted in 1957. Deep red. Nose of very deep red fruits with lots of cherry and woody spices including cinnamon. Excllent acidity provides lift and freshness. The tannins are there but are well coated by rich, low cropped old vine fruit ensuring an an excellent mouth feel.

The Fine Wine Review

The nose of the Cent Vignes has lovely, pure dark fruits and a roundness. The mouth is smooth and pure with dense dark berry fruit, length, medium weight, and excellent balance.

Vinous: Stephen Tanzer

(14 hectoliters per hectare): Bright, dark red with ruby tones. Initially a bit minty and high-toned on the nose, but showed more classic aromas of bitter cherry, dark berries and licorice pastille with a bit of air. Energetic, precise and linear but also conveys an attractive element of sweetness to its intense black cherry and spice flavors. Finishes juicy and long, with rather suave tannins.
