Bettane and Desseauve

Very nice juice displaying spicy, racy, full, fruit and a subtle finish. A classy approach to Clos-de-Bèze in a more elegant, finer style.

Wine Spectator

Bright, macerated cherry is the unifying theme of this juicy, elegant red, along with floral, spice and underbrush flavors. Builds to a long, muscular finish, where the tannins hold court. Spice details linger. Best from 2021 through 2036.

A slightly more elegant combination features notes of wood, spice, red currant, plum and lavender scents. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the detailed and lightly mineral-inflected flavors that deliver fine depth and length on the balanced finale. This is very Gelin in style which is to say that it's not especially dense or structured yet it is harmonious and classy. This too could be approached after only 5 to 7 years if that's your preference.
