The Fine Wine Review

13.8 hl/ha here. More finesse in this wine, but it still is quite dense. The red and dark fruits are augmented by salinity and minerality and there is good length here.

A further step up – the Monthelie 1er cru Les Clous, a vineyard located just above Aux Founereaux and above the village. The nose offer deeper and more refied red and dark berry fruit – still with the same energetic fruit expression. On the palate fine and fresh fruit – very juicy with lovely sweet sensasion of red berries on the mid-palate. This is a delicious wine and should not be overlooked.

Darren Harris

20% new oak. Deep red-purple. Lifted nose with more intensity than the Villages Monthelie. The palate is structured with complex layers and a good lick of minerality. Plenty of dark fruit coats the underlying bones. Really rather impressive.
