Bill Nanson "The Burgundy Report"

Ooh, this is a beacon of bright red and again insistent fruit. Supple, nice over the palate with good freshness, energy and complexity. Really good layers and a certain extra mid-palate weight vs the the bourgogne. Really deliciously fresh and tasty wine – a subtle saline suggestion in the finish too – long, almost dry material in the finish. Excellent.

This is both more elegant and slightly fresher as well with its equally pretty aromas of red and dark raspberry, violet and discreet forest floor nuances. There is fine richness to the sleek and beguilingly textured flavors that possess solid volume on the persistent and slightly saline finish. This too is quite good for its level. (88-91)/2021+

The Fine Wine Review

The Monthélie is medium-weight and smooth with intense dark fruits. The wine has good length and shows some juiciness.
