The French term 'ouvrée' is a centuries-old unit of measurement in Burgundy. It refers to the amount of land one man could work in a day. Cheron’s Les Quarante Ouvrees is an assemblage of twelve different parcels in Chambolle-Musigny, two-thirds of which have a vineage of 60+ years. The majority of the fruit comes from the lieu-dits Condemennes and Clos des Ormes adjoining the 1er Cru Les Charmes. Aromatic Chambolle nose of red fruits. Juicy flavours of raspberry, strawberry and a touch of licquorice. The most accessible wine of the lineup providing enormous immediate appeal but being from 2015 will age nicely.
