Clos de l'Orme is well sited being located is located below the 1er Crus Les Charmes and Les Plantes. Clive Coates says it "might almost merit premier crus status" but it lies a little too low on the slope to have gained promotion. Deeper in colour than Les Quarante Ouvrees. A complex nose of minerals, raspberry, pomegranate, violets, musk with a hauting note of middle eastern spice. Very aromatic. The palate is long and fine and the minerality of the wine shows through. The tannins are fine with a gentle firmness. I like this a lot!
