Pinot Noir
No ordinary Coteaux Bourguignons!
In 2011 the regional appellation Coteaux Bourguignons was created. It translates as "Burgundy Hills" and includes the areas in and around Burgundy not entitled to a more lofty appellation.
But like all things in Burgundy not everything is created equal. Coteaux Bourguignons can come from far afield but Domaine Chevillon-Chezeaux's (who are located in Nuits-St-Georges) comes from Vosne-Romanee and Nuits-St-Georges!
The vineyards used for this wine are Champs d'Argent in Vosne-Romanee and Croix Blanche and Petit Chaliot in Nuits-St-Georges. Not too shabby!
