John Gilman "View from the Cellar"
The 2013 Sous Frétilles is a tad on the light side this year, no doubt the result of the hail that passed over this vineyard in July. The nose is still very pretty in its blend of lemon, apple, chalky soil tones, white flowers and a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is medium full, crisp and easy-going, with a good, clean core of fruit, nice framing acids and good length on the wide open and easy-going finish. This will be very tasty right out of the blocks, but does not have quite the cut it normally does. 2015-2025. 89.
